I actually just posted this in a thread, but it is our generation. We are becoming disconnected and distant with the real word, and people just text now. It's how it is. I know too many girls who don't answer their phone - they don't even want to talk on it (to anyone). They just text. So you either go with it or avoid it, but it might not work so easily.
Interesting, do you think girls view actual voice to voice calls a hindrance? I certainly know that text is easier to control. Maybe going against the grain - and actually speaking to them would stand out.
Yes. And it's girls that are the problems. I've never seen a guy who would rather text than talk on the phone (to a girl anyways). This generation is brought up with cell phones, and texting is replacing talking and it's really depressing. Unless you are her boyfriend, or really good friend, or brother, or very actively dating, you can't seem to get a YOUNG (17-19, im sure younger but I wouldnt know) girl on the phone these days. But they sure as hell will text you. Everyone wants to pretend they are busy!
And you can't go against the grain if they don't answer their phone in the first place.
