Depends on what you have to say, what else you have going on and how strong her attraction is to you.

Contact her whenever you feel like it if:
-It's your first time talking to her
-You're inviting her out
-You're just interested in throaway small talk

Wait a minute or so if:
-You speak with her often

As I've said before, you should get the woman off of aim and onto a date, or at least a phone conversation, fairly soon.
