In general speaking you can say you're in A3 and almost in C1 just qualify her for a little bit more and then take her number.
They say you should get as quick as you can offline so I don't thing you must wait for C1. However you can talk to her a little (part of C1) before taking the number and you should continue this maybe on the phone or on a date.

Yup, I agree. You are just about in the "friend zone." Hike up the KINO. Escalate into more talk about her intimately in a playful way. Get out of the school talk. Don't answer her about what you think about kids being late, who cares. She didn't answer your questions, so you don't answer hers. Say, "Work and careers can be a drag. Even teaching must have it's dull days. What do you do to cut loose?" Than say you like to, blah blah blah and one time ( A story that demonstrates higher value). Make sure it was adventures and something most people don't do. I always go with a scuba diving story. Let us know what happens
