I've been messing around on POF and I message a shitload of girls everytime I go on there. But it seems like half of them never even reply. Why do you think this is? I mean I think my profile is alright I guess. And I'm sure as hell not ugly. Maybe it's the way I messaged them. Some times I try to be funny other times I'll read there profile and say something about what they've written about. So my question is does this happen to everyone and if so how can I start getting the better looking brauds too write back. It seems like these brauds think there gonna find the perfect guy or some shit. I mean even if the chick was ugly I would still answer there question ya know?

I'd say 35% of messages replied is decently good. Don't take offense, they got a handful of emails everyday and they can weed out whomever they like. It could be you don't share their interests, or your opener wasn't as good. I'd say 25% reply back for me, so you're doing well.

Use a good opener, then fix up your profile. I could take a look at it and see if that's messing up your chances.

No she is not a bitch for not replying back to you. A good looking girl can get up to 400 messages per day from new guys... yes that figure is true! The male to female ratio is very poor to begin with and guys ignore the ugly girls so the goodlooking ones get bombarded. You need to be very goodlooking or very skilled to open and maintain a conversation.

Girls have no choice but to be very, very, very picky. It's impossible to maintain more than a few conversations at once.

If you want her to stick with your conversation you need to improve your messaging skills - or your pics. Most guys on PoF are not getting ANY messages back. When I started on it about a year and a half ago I got about 1-5% response back and 0% close rate. I can now do 70% open 40% close - but it's taken a lot of effort to get there.

Learn how to be funnier, tell better DHV stories and qualify in a way that makes her little heart sing - then you will have you choice of the girls. One other important skill is prompting and reopening. Because she's getting bombarded it's easy for your message to get lost. Sometimes you need to send her a new opener to get the conversation started again. I'd say I have to do this with over half the girls I manage to get numbers/dates from.

I laugh cause all he said is true. I look at it when a girl gets 400 messages a day she enjoys the attention and loves being well LOVED!

False. You just need to be good at keeping a conversation. Ya looks help. But it takes you only so far.
I say at max the average person would be able to keep 5 conversations going at anyone time online.
Most guys on POF are also AFC's as well.
I pretty much agree with this. Tho I add that you really need to build on comfort and attraction. Because if you can get those going then you won't need to reopen the girl as she would be hooked and will keep up with the conversation. If she drop the conversation more than likely she is not that interested in you. Ya I know you said you been able to close with girls you reopened. Butt if a girl is truly interested in a guy she is going to make sure she stays in touch with him.

I think you underestimate how much looks matter online. I've played around with many fake profiles to understand the drivers of online success (I have 6 up at the moment).

Using the same routine stack you get numbers etc from many, many more girls online - and faster - when you have goodlooking guy pics up. Furthermore, you can get away with saying pretty lame things if you're goodlooking and still close - I.e. not being funny, not DHVing - things that are absolutely neccessary when I use my own mug!

When you're online, looks are a major factor in opening, maintaining a conversation and closing. Looks matter way more on the net than in person.

Get some good looking guy photos (and ugly guy photos!) from a friend or something and try it out - you'll see I'm right.

I agree, this helps a lot - but it's still not going to work all the time. On PoF, where I do most of my online sarging, girls get so many messages it's easy to get burried under a pile

Sometimes you need to reopen to make her 'truly interested' in you! Attraction can be created - but not always on the first attempt!

Thats a lot of profiles. But anyway I am not underestimating how much looks matter online. They do matter, but it will only help you so far. Ya it may help you get the number, but you can loose the girl with the first phone conversation or when you first meet her for a number of reasons. Remember there are AFC's that are physically attractive online, but will loose the girl once he contacts the girl off line.
I don't think a good looking guy can always get away with saying anything.
I know I am not one of those physically attractive guys but I am not ugly either and I been able to maintain conversations online pretty well I think. My response rate is roughly 30% with a 10% closing rate. Which I think is good for the area I live in.
I try it, but I also think it depends on where you live.

I basically agree. But if girl is not interested she is not going to make sure your message is going to get lost in the pile.
