Wasn't sure if she was one to spam or not, I checked out her profile and it turned out that we had some mutual friends. I usually don't accept people I don't know, but I figured why not...she's eye candy if anything. I never bothered to find out who she was until today. One of my friends (a mutual friend I had with her) was at my apartment and I asked him if he knew who she was. He had no idea other than she had requested him because they live in the same area (he messaged her a long time ago asking how they know each other). Here's how I opened.
Topic: Hello Mystery Girl
I remember seeing your friend request a couple years ago. I accepted, though I never actually knew who you were. I still don't. Every now and again I would see you in my newsfeed and ask myself, "Who is this mystery girl and how does she know me?"
After those couples years have gone by, I've finally decided to attempt to find out who you are. This will end the mystery or it'll keep going. You can keep the mystery going, or you can end it by replying back with........?
She gave a lengthy reply and told me ALOT about herself (her family, job, college [she graduated from the school I go to now], etc) and she ended with "I'm hoping that we can now at least say hi to each other every now and then. =)"
Seems like an IOI to me, but where do I go from here? How should I reply? Do I go and send her a mini-bio about myself as well? Should I neg at some of the things she said? Ask how she knows our mutual friends?
