What if I told you there was a tool available online that would treble your success
(and exposure) with women, and it would only take a few minutes to setup and
maintain. You’d be quite interested wouldn’t you? Then what if I told you that it
was going to be entirely free and you wouldn’t pay a single subscription fee ever.
This handy online tool does exist and it’s called “Facebook” and is set to
revolutionise the way online dating is conducted now and for good. Facebook is a
social media site aimed at young adults, and has all the makings of the perfect
online dating platform – minus the fees of course. Everybody who signs up to
Facebook, creates a profile where they list things like their relationship status,
interests, what music they like, current work situation, hobbies, general
description etc. Plus adding friends, and sending messages to them is done at
the touch of a button. You can also “poke” people which I will get into a little
further in the article, which is a very subtle and powerful way to meet people.
Although it will take a little time to setup, this is going to be well worth your
while and will see you meeting more women than you can shake a fully erect
stick at. Please note though that facebook should not substitute going out into
the real world to meet and interact with women – this still needs to be the bread
and butter of your pickup efforts and is the fastest and best way to learn. And
you are still going to have to meet up with these women (from facebook) in any
event to get to know them better and see if they’re worthy of your time and if
you’d like to discover her further.
If you were wondering what sort of women you are going to meet on facebook,
you are going to be pleasantly surprised my friend as there are all sorts; from the
raucous party girls to the intellectually introverted (and sometimes annoyingly
opinionated) art students, sexy single moms, ambitious corporate ball-busting
go-getters, sweet girls from next door, witty and sassy honeys – they are all on
there and are just waiting to meet you.
Creating A Profile on Facebook
This is going to be the first step you will take. Simply head over to facebook.com
and signup. Now, when filling out your profile try to fill in as much information as
possible, ideally filling in all fields. Add a few items (which you will build on later)
but make sure to have all fields filled out.
Relationship status – Check the friendship, relationship, dating and random play
fields. Leave out the “whatever I can get” as this appears desperate and needy.
Personal Info – go ahead and fill all these in, but resist the temptation to put in
things like sex, women etc or any other cheesy lines. Under the interests section
try and put a few intriguing entries in there to pique a bit of interest; for example
things like psychology, poetry, tai chi are all fascinating topics and would lead
people to believe that you’re actually quite a (and to quote the girl I'm currently
seeing– who I incidentally met on facebook) multi-faceted, and interesting.
However, you really do need to be into these things and you shouldn’t deceive
people in any shape, way or form. The idea of this personal info is to allow
women a glimpse into your world, and based on that they can see just how
similar or appealing to them you actually are.
Photos – Make sure to have a few photos on there, ones that show you having
fun, smiling or you with your friends and family. This is good for what’s called
social proof as one can see you are a well rounded person with real friends and a
loving family.
Right once you have your profile setup, try and get the opinion of a female
companion as she will be able to spot anything that could raise alarms bells in
your prospects mind. For example she’d tell you to leave the facebook group,
“Hot Sluts R Us”, as it may give the wrong impression.
Finding Women on Facebook
Now here is the fun part, the browsing. Head over to the “Networks” section
(along the top row) and click the “Browse All Networks” link, this will take you to
a page filled with all the networks. Fill in your state, country or city (if it’s big
enough), under the “search for network” field. Then head over to the “Browse”
link under the “People in [Network]”. Now here’s where the fun starts, and it
allows you to fill in quite few specifics to finding women.
Sort Method – Alphabetical. You are going to need to keep track (i.e. of name and
page number) so you’re not poking / messaging the same girl more than once.
All other fields – Be specific as you like to really narrow the search down, or a
general as you like to open up your options.
As you will see there are going to be hoards of prospects for you to start
interacting with, so it’s advisable to keep a log. So say if you’d like to poke /
message 5 girls everyday you are going to need to record the page number you
are on and the name of the last girl. Another trick to use is copying the URL in
your browsers address bar and saving that in your log – this will then take you
right back to the search result you were last at. This is where the alphabetical
sorting method is crucial.
The Facebook Pickup Approach
The nice thing about “approaching” women on facebook is that you are not going
to have any of the paralysing approach anxiety (found in the real world) and will
be able to approach seemingly hundreds of girls in a short space of time.
Some profiles on facebook have a restricted privacy setting meaning that they’ve
set it so only their friends can see their profile, this is fine as you can still send a
message and poke them – and don’t worry, your pokes are NOT recorded in your
mini-feed so people won’t see that you’re poking (or sending messages) to 5
women every day – and think you’re creepy. However, it’s nice to have a look at
someone’s profile and get an idea of what they’re all about, this will mean you
can tailor that first message to any of their interest or activities and show a real
interest.
Ok, so now you’re ready to start approaching some women on facebook. The
best way to go about it, is simply to “poke her”, you will find the poke her button
alongside her profile not only does this allow you to gauge interest when you find
she pokes you back, but also saves time by not having to come up with witty
message to initially to send her. After poking her, the next time she logs into
facebook she will see a “You have been poked by [Your Name]” and the option to
remove the poke or poke back. She will then click on your name and be taken to
your (tactfully created) profile and can then snoop around and find out all about
you, and if she becomes interested can then decide to poke you back.
Once you get your first poke back (and after celebrating with a bottle of Veuve
Clicquot) don’t start a poking marathon, this is your cue to send her a message
as she is interested in you.
What Do I Say?
Well done for getting this far, and here’s where your game and pickup skills step
in. Keep that first message short and sweet. This is where it’s handy if she has a
public profile as you will be able to ask her about any of her activities or interests
i.e. “Hey, I see you’re into salsa, do you know of any clubs / classes around [hers
and your city]?”
Alternatively, a simple “Ouch! You’re going to leave a bruise with all that poking.”
Or “Is that really you in your profile picture?”, which is a good one as she will
always respond with a “Of course it is why do you ask?” and will be curious as to
why you asked – i.e. what does he think of me?
The trick then is to get things off facebook and into the real world as soon as
possible, by this I mean getting her number or making a date to meet up
somewhere. Or letting her know that you’ll be out at bar / club this Friday and
she should stop by to “buy YOU a drink”.
Well there you go, I hope you picked up a few hints from this article. There really
are some intelligent and gorgeous woman online, and more so than in clubs and
bars. So get your hands dirty and get poking. Facebook is really going to expand
your game, and open up many options for you, so take the time to use this
powerful tool to enhance your pickup skills and remember, make sure to get
these women into the real world and flirting with you as soon as possible. That’s
