But seriously, why are you concerning yourself with this so much?
You know what I hate about Facebook? The shit is so impersonal. People spend too much of their time circulating bullshit applications and other junk to each other that they no longer bother actually typing anything and just saying "hi" to each other.
Screw what comes next after you've poked somebody. Frickin' talk to the girl instead of waiting around using up valuable sarging time in hopes of getting some kind of non-committal response.
If somebody walked up to you in the street and ACTUALLY poked you, would you poke them back then just stand there? Poking on Facebook is a cause for communication, so use it. Just open her with something along the lines of what I've told you. Tell her that you're frustrated with the lack of communication these days and you'd rather send a few messages to her than send her a bunch of shitty spam apps.
