Hi,
I'm in a situation I got few times so far, and not being able to figure the best way out I came here for an advice. It's my first PUA registration or anything such. It's not a regular PUA question, rather a normal life social situation I believe I'm not enough skilled with.

I've got a friend (she btw is living on the other side of the globe), whom I've found on FB after we haven't seen for more half of our lives. I sent her an e-mail, after which she replied. Few days after, I wrote a longer one-page e-mail at which she hasn't replied. It's been a month since then. Interesting though, but during that time she started a chat with me over FB, but I would end the conversation in few minutes each time, feeling there is something wrong to chat if she didn't answer the e-mail.
I have a lot of questions about this situation, any help is appreciated:
1. What are the possible good exits from this situation? I would like to both continue conversation with her and not pass by that e-mail like I never wrote it.
2. Any good advices how to not get into the same situation next time I write an e-mail to a person I'm fond of in some way?
3. What would you say if you're in my place next time she starts a chat?
Any other advice in general is appreciated.
