You can open any girl - I'm from Spain- if you are respectful you can get away with everything, there are things that you have to take on the account if you are going to try physical escalation since in some countries is not common at all so you just need to take a little bit of more time to do it.

About opening, I can't believe guys worry so much about that don't get sucked on what you are going to say just say " Hi" and introduce yourself if you don't feel comfortable saying something else.
Sometimes what I use is " Excuse me I was wondering if you can help me out with something, which excuse should I use to start a conversation with you" I can hear you guys writing this down... your welcome
