So I have done some of my research, and my questions still stand:

When I am in the library (for you out of college members, thats the big building with free books! ) or in the eating area, I see a cute (not a HB by anymeans) sitting down by her self.

I think...3 Second Rule...but at the same time...a flash of rejection comes to mind, and I don't approach - because I'd feel foolish if I see her around camps again so I don't.

I can't smile, say Hello, if she is sitting down eating - or what not.
She is alone, for whatever reason...

Any tips/suggestions?

I sarge around campus a lot (quad, cafeteria, and library) and it's just like any other setting. JUST DO IT. Have your opener ready, 3 sec rule and you're set!

In my experience, girls who sit alone are very receptive to talk to guys. Usually they just sit there to kill time and wait for their friends.
