I have been learning about game for about a year now, and i have always had pretty bad approach anxiety, however now the last 5 times i have gone out with my wing i haven't opened a single set! At one stage i could go out and would generally get at least a make-out, now no matter how much i try and force my-self to open it just will not happen. I always take the easy way out and it is beginning to eat a way at my insanity. No-matter how much I get myself in a positive state before hand it immediately goes away once i enter the venue. I hate it because i have every aspect of my life under control except for this. My wingman will go out and always without a doubt be successful and improve every time, together we have an agreement to go out 2 times every week and now i am starting to really not look forward to these nights. What can i do to gain some more mental strength, get out there and open some sets and start to have a more positive attitue towards gaming?

Just don't be a pussy and open a set. There's no science behind this. No technique that will help other than experience. Realize that girls are people too and anyone can ask for the time or directions.

You don't need an amazing opener to talk to a person.

Alternatively, if you're that petrified of the oppposite sex - get your wingman to open the set for you.
