My issue is this; I really want to help my roomate to combat his social shyness and his anxiety. I consider myself a fair/good/regular PUA, I'm not a master, and I also think and kinda far to be PUA-guru, but I do know that I'm not a completely mess. I want to teach/tutor/mentor him how to approach women, he is completely shy and he doesn't talk to them at all.
We've been trying just to say hello, we went to a mall here, and I asked him to greet every single women, and he didn't greet anyone.
I really want to help him because he is a good friend of mine, but I don't know, I think I just need help, what would you recommend?

You can't move a mountain single handed.
