I always had this weird problem were I don't call people by their names... even a GF or whatever. I just call them by "hey" or whatever 90% of the time. Friends, anyone... it's like I get shy when I have to call someone by name.
Sounds silly... but it's actually weird cause people love to hear their name.

Dale Carnegie wrote that a man's name to him is the sweetest sound in the English language. I too have issues calling people by their names sometimes. Most of the time it's easier for me if I know the person well enough actually believe that they like me and accept me. Ask yourself next time where your focus is. Are you thinking about yourself? Or instead are you thinking about the other person? Do you want to make them feel comfortable? Or instead are you putting all of your focus on your own insecurities and nervousness? Try thinking about the other person next time. _________________ Just remember, your first couple thousand approaches don't count.
