so ive been using the game for a week or so now, its turned up some numbers from some 6's, 7s, and one 8 (arguably)

also ran game on a 9 but i fizzled out

anyhow in general i feel hesitant to approach the 8s,9s, and 10s.

advice?

you don't jump in the ring with ali becauce you think you can box. you need to work you way up to hotter once, you seem to be off to a good start just keep doing what you are doing and they will come

so i told myself that TODAY i will hit up a an 8+

i warmed up in the library by gaming and #closing a 6.5, and then doing the same with a 7.5 in food area (this was all at school)

this 9.5 walks by, with flowing double D's, righteous legs, and super cute face.. it took me a while to gather my nuts, esp with the weak line i was gonna use...

i shouldnt have thought about the weakness of the line because i totally lacked congruency when i tried it on her...

me: "excuse me, do you work in the library?" (she was dressed like a library so i was kinda negging on that)

HB9.5: excuse me?
me: you look like you work in the library.. i want to try something on you..
HB9.5: (confused look)
me: i noticed you have a psychology book, im going to do this "mind reading" trick but its really just something based in general psychology
HB9.5: its a philosophy book...
me: (surprised) oh what kind of philosophy are you studying
HB9.5: existentialism
me: can you explain that to me, ive always heard different things about it
HB9.5: you cant really sum it up that quickly, thats like me asking you to sum up political science (i forgot she had asked me what i studied and i told her political science --- i just realized maybe that was an IOI - her asking)
me: im like, well you can sum up poli sci in a couple sentences, i do, then i sum up philosophy
HB9.5: shes like ok, im kinda confused though, why are you asking me if im a librarian and tryign to read my mind
me: you dont hang out on campus much do you?
HB9.5: nope
me: are you a grad student?
HB9.5: no
me:undergrad?
HB9.5: no
me: a teacher??
HB9.5: YES
me: (surprised) so youve got a phd?
HB9.5: im finishing it
me: awesome, where at?
HB9.5: europe

ok so im noticing i was building rapport way too early... i think this is because she threw me off with her lack of compliance so i started scrambling, i was pretty nervous, and a nearby AFC was observing giving me smiles and thumbs ups... blah

i lacked congruency so what i said was hard to believe and i believe it SEEMED like i was trying to pick up on her

the fact that she was a PHD automatically DHV'd her and DLV'd me - any fucking idea how to recover from that?

anyways, i plan to hit her up when i see and tell her she didnt let me finish my mind reading trick...

Its alright man, it all takes time don’t stress, your doing good! You cant avoid approach anxiety until your brain knows your higher status then she will be, and even then you’ll still be prolly scared.. It depends if you have a massive social circle with people and your loved, then you wont feel it, but if you started like me, a lone gunner, no friends, no anything, accept access baggage and false highly limiting beliefs, then it takes some time.

the only response i can give in a situation like that is to read - bettering yourself mentally and through understanding is an admirable trait, not to mention a great conversation with a phd - psychology to me seems to go hand in hand with philosophy, so getting to the root of the subject really can hold much ground in a conversation about it

if you're not well read, well travelled and just seem to play xbox all day at home (not implying that you do or anything) than it would be mighty difficult to dhv to a phd

I learned about the game about a month ago and since then I have found that opinion openers are the best when I am having anxiety about approaching.

It doesn't matter whether it is an HB8+ because you "aren't" hitting on her so it reduces stress on you. You just randomly picked her to ge an opinion. Delivery is of course key.

For your PhD try to DHV with the opinion. One of my favorites when I am on campus is asking their opinion on grad school over med school as it can really DHV especially when those are not options open to the HB.
