| I got an interesting problem, but it's one that I've somewhat intentionally created.
I was curious awhile back, who could get more girls to talk to him. Myself as an American or myself as Brit. Needless to say, the brit has won. Literally, hands down all the time. The american has made no progress what so ever.
While i know girls just "like" accents, I find it a bit problematic that when i call people out on this issue. It is entirely my voice.
However, the things i get away with as the "british" version of myself i CAN'T get away with as the American version of me. For example...
Brit: You wanted to hear what song then?
Me: You want to hear what song then?
Response: You are really sexy
Response2: Oh, that Britney Spears one.
I should probably clear up, I'm a dj. Which hey, looks attractive, but no one really approaches me. People are busy, my question is when im out of the booth what can i do?! Anyway, i digress.
I really think this comes down to the allure of trying to talk to a guy who potentially doesn't understand how anything goes in the area VS. someone who is a local and initially doesn't seem appealing. Let it be said, i'll say anything and do anything for the sake of a story, so its not like i have hesitation of an approach...but it doesn't seem to work.
I think i'm rambling at this point, but it's frustrating that I'm the same person and when my friends are like "dude, do the british thing." That it instantly pulls girls, whereas as an American i'm not physically attractive, but as a Brit i'm gorgeous. Let it be said, im tall athletic, and not fuck ugly.
I have also pulled the
"Hey I'm waiting for some friends to get here, mind if i join you?" under both persona's. Clearly, we know where that goes. One is successful, the other isn't.
Thoughts on my social experiment/problem?
