the big problem I have is when I do lock into a conversation or set and I'm running my mouth fine, saying the right things, brain working full blast etc, my eyes are open as wide as they can be. As soon as I realize this, I mentally squint my eyes a little but than my mind fogs up and I get this zoned out look (as im told). It's like I can either think about the conversation or think about my eyes.

The worst is in crowded rooms. I go all bugeyes and just look around. Takes me a little to notice and stop.

I would consider myself a good looking guy, to the point where people treat me differently because of it. (sad to say I never realized this till I discovered the game, i always just thought people were being wierd or rude) Guys feel overly threatened (ive had knives pulled on me) and some girls will be less friendly to me even though I know their atracted to me (I know that everyone is)

I feel people have an expectation for me because of my looks, when in reality i am a shy guy, in the process of becoming more socially active, working steadily on my conversation skills. Its my 2nd year in college by the way.

I'm just looking for some tips, or someone that has similar problems

I know you're totally not going to believe this but I'm like in the same EXACT situation as you. I know the feeling, it's horrible. Do you also feel like everyone can tell and thus think you're a creep?

It's all social anxiety dude. The program that's helped the best is Dr. Thomas Richards Overcoming Social Anxiety Step by Step. It takes a lot of courage and willpower but it is possible. Right now I'm in the 'competing neural pathways' phase, I'll feel great one day, so-so the next, and horrible another. Thing is to keep going... you can learn all about it in Overcoming SA step by step. Feel the fear and do it anyway.

Also I've been doing an audio program called Think Right Now Conquering Social Anxiety and Think Right Now Supreme Self-Confidence... all you do is listen to the audios once a day with your eyes closed and your unconscious mind captures it all. They've also helped a ton... warning though the first week you hear the audios you'll feel frustrated and irritated, that's normal, because your mind wants to reject the new ideas given to you.

I'm also working on Hypnotica's Collection of Confidence... I'm barely through the second CD but so far, so good.

The one thing though is that you have to STICK with the programs. That's the NUMBER ONE thing.

Oh and I've heard the conscious mind can only concentrate on one thing at a time so you may be right on either concentrating on convo or think about your eyes.

One thing though man... no one has expectations for you. I've learned this... you're the one who has all the expectations...everyone else is busy thinking about themselves the entire time. The same way our minds create the illusion that there's something wrong with us, the mind makes us believe false things.

Good luck man, I know what you're going through. PM your AIM if you wanna go through this process together.
