Anyone ever sign up for a job or get an internship to help you kill your shyness?

I've been thinking about getting one of those internships/jobs where you have to pass out flyers or encourage people to sign up for something. If something like that won't help, I don't know what will. I'm in college and I think that that experience would be more useful than sitting at a desk being a slave intern. I'm in college already and I cannot live like I have for the rest of my life.

Yeah that's a good job.

Best is apply for a sales job in a retail store (especially a clothing store). Trust me. You're going to learn how to DHV, how to be very suave, how to keep a conversation hot, remove AA, and also find a good idea of how hot girls think you are just based on your looks (since you'll talk to about 100 a day).

Thank you for your encouragement. I'll consider that option though I'll probably get one of those "grass-roots organizer" jobs where you sign people up for something. I think potential employers would see it as "leadership experience". I realize now that I have to learn to be more social. I'm making it harder not only for myself but the people I come in contact with. When people meet me at a high-school reunion or something I want them to not recognize me.

I've been thinking, with all these PUA forums, the TV show, all these e-books, you'd think that everyone is a PUA. But when you think about it, as bad as some of our social networks are (or for some, used to be), everyone else is in not that much better shape. When I walk around campus I see girls, everywhere, just sitting there. No PUA is picking them up. Guys too, they just sit there the whole day studying and then get wasted come night time. People who have have hundreds of friends on facebook are likely the ones with the least real friends. It's nothing but a popularity contest. Everyone here should give themselves a big pat on the back for trying to change their lives.

Also, it may be just me, but does anyone else get pissed off when you get those personality questionnaires? Are you introverted? Extroverted? Are you sensing or intuitive? My god, I can be whoever I fricken want to be.

Whatever works best for you, man.

That said, I've done that sort of work, and take my word for it, you're going to do a lot more for your resume by working at a retail store than by doing 'grassroots' work. And it's much better for your social life.
