how should i solve these ups and downs?

i hate the ups and downs i have every now and then. if i am among people with low confidence then my confidence goes up and i act the way i think i really am. which is social , and very happy.

when i am among people with the same amount of confidence as me or more, i go down. i just cant function properly near them. for example my dad and bro they are so alpha when i am among them i lose confidence. when i am walking the hallways and i meet up someone alpha i still lose it.

i have been falling into a very bad habit lately. i took up smoking as it calmed my nerves, because of it my breathing pattern has changed even more than before. i hyperventilate alot and because of this alot of things follow like stuttering, low voice cause' i am out of breath. awkward facial expressions, eyes wide as if in fear. what should i do seriously.

1) Stop smoking. Get the nicotine patches to control yourself.

2) This is trained behavior from childhood and your social circle. You are conditioned to act like a beta male in the company of those who you perceive to be stronger, or have more status than you.

3) You can break out of this pattern by introducing yourself to new experiences and conditioning your mind to value yourself higher in others' company. One of the ways to do this is to listen to NLP before you go to sleep...search Paul McKenna.
