Shyness is a real bitch. It doesn't just affect picking up women, it can inhibit anyone from excelling socially or professionally. I had some real bad social anxiety when I was in my early twenties. Needless to say, meeting women was a struggle. I was friendless for a good while too because I stopped hanging out with the people I grew up with. I did that in order to grow into a more positive person (they were all negative thinkers.
In any case, a lot of the steps I took were pretty basic: start saying hi to people, practice asking women out, start conversations with random strangers.
It worked though. It's just like developing any muscle, you gotta get in the gym to grow. In this case, you've gotta start conversations and be around people.
Anyone here take any specific steps to overcome shyness?
