I know what the obvious answer to this is, work out. I know. The problem is I'm starting in a new school last week and I feel as though I won't be given much of a look because I'm pretty chubby around my waist. I was just wondering how you guys think I should handle the first few weeks of this new high-school or if you think I'm over-thinking? Thanks

Over thinking. Just concentrate on getting on top of your lessons and making some new friends. Don't worry about girls for a few weeks. Once you've got everything else sorted then you can start to make some moves.

I must say that looks matter immensely. This is coming from someone who got his looks from 5 to 8 1/2 and working towards 10.
While I agree that "how you feel about yourself" or shall I call it confidence/charisma is probably more important then looks... those 2 feed off each other. Looks makes you more confident and charismatic, as well as making you look congruent, successful, powerful...

I know people say looks doesn't matter, so that people without looks can build their charisma but it's not useful to disregard looks. You can still increase your looks by 3-5 notches no matter what you look like (unless you got some weird disease/genetic disorder)... and that in return increases your charisma.

So yeah, don't look for excuses not to work out, and by working out I mean lift weights... get your shoulders broader, your biceps bigger etc... loose the fat. Groom yourself, wear something that women find attractive etc. Even get a tan. All that comes into looks, and with great looks and charisma you need minimum game.

Can you please refrain yourself from posting useless posts?

First of all, I've been working on my "inner game" and "ego" for number of years now, maybe 5-6 or something, and I can say that I almost got rid of it completely. How about you? I read your thread.

I'm only posting facts here. 95% of the people here are brainwashed by Tyler's Blueprint. So was I for a year or so.
Hard fact is: He was lying! He was lying so people without looks can build their self esteem and charisma. The end.

Why wouldn't you work on your looks when your willing to work on your game for years and years? It takes like 6 hours a week, and it's more important then game.
Is it because it's hard? Boo-hoo.

Believe me, first pick up gurus that went out only talked about game.
Then, you had a generation of charisma/game gurus.
In the near future, there will be charisma/looks/game gurus, which will teach us every aspect of it. In fact, it's happening right now.

As a side-note, who says bodybuilding isn't fun? If you ask me, sports is much much bigger ego feeder then bodybuilding.

EDIT: Also, I love fucking hot chicks. So I'm doing it for myself, because I like it.

The part of Tylers Blueprint you refer to is based on very sound academic research in evolutionary Psychology. The reason I got into the game is because when I was younger I watched ugly fuckers and meatheads pull very attractive girls whilst I didn't have much luck even though I've been told I'm reasonably good looking.

Women judge a mans attractivness 20% on looks and 80% on other traits, an average looking experienced PUA would blow you out the water in a bar/club environment; I've seen it happen and had it done to me in the past. Next time you see an HB10 with some average looking guy? Well thats proof for you.

ego and insecurity are dualities of the same spectrum. Try to focus on losing ego and it will help you lose your insecurities as well. You must learn to become so emotionally strong that you see the world from a logical place and you decide what's best for you based purely on a rational level. The more you master this reality the more successful with women and life you will be.

I could provide some "very sound research" which proves that looks matter, also.
Or I could learn from my own experience.

Yes, I know a few ugly dudes with 10s, other got no girls next to them... I also know 20 bodybuilders, which I could rate 9-10 (although I'm not really competent in rating other dudes), of which each one got a 10. And some of them are real thick-heads. One have a girlfriend which I could only rate 11... one in a 10.000 for sure.

I can only explain the importance of looks this way: Let's say that women thermometer got 10 levels. If your ugly, it starts at 1. If you are what women consider good looking, it starts at 5+. It can still plummet to 0 in a blink of an eye, and an ugly dude got his chance also, but what I'm saying here is that looks matter immensely, and that good looking guys got a big edge.
You guys ever had lays without saying a word except "let's go my place". Spontaneous make-outs every night. And admittedly I could rate my game as 3 roughly.

Charisma + Looks overshadows any Game combination (Game+Char or Game+Looks) any time of the day. And with those two all you have to do is not say some stupid shit.

From what I read here, you're only looking for excuses not to work out. Is it really that hard? It's surely easier then working on your game or charisma. What is 6 hours a week?
And please don't start with ego thing again... I got the least of it in this thread. What good to my "ego" is my stance doing, when I know most of you wont agree with me. If anything, blindly pushing away the truth is the thing that helps your ego... so it doesn't get hurt.

hey danny,

you're going to a new school, all you can really do is give it your best shot and actually put forth your best effort, don't wait to ''get a look'', just go meet the girls you are interested in and do your best try to make something happen yourself

if you want to lose weight, then diet should be your first concern before working out, eating healthy and being in a deficit from your daily caloric maintenance is what will help you lose fat more then exercise, but the two combined are optimal, if you want to increase your musculature then working out and diet together are important, working out is more important for putting on weight (the good kind), rather then taking it off

if you have bad eating habits and work out, it won't make much of a difference, for both putting on lean mass, and losing fat, especially if you have a bad work ethic in the gym and don't keep track of your progress and push yourself to improve

to lose weight, you just have to eat in a caloric deficit from your daily caloric maintenance (what your body's metabolic rate*bmr* burns in a day at rest)

how ever don't take it too far and starve yourself, your bmr will be effected by the lean mass your body holds, the bigger you are (muscle wise), the more calories you burn in a day at rest, your genetics also have an effect on your bmr, and at a certain point cutting calories below your maintenance offers diminishing gains, your body will only allow you to metabolize so much fat per day before it resorts to wasting lean mass, so keep it healthy, and stay consistent

you might want to join a gym, make sure to keep track of your progress and have a weekly routine, make sure you are doing the main compound lifts to start out and keeping track of your progress and trying to increase the weight you can push, deadlifts, benchpress, squats, chin ups, military press/shoulder press, maybe even some clean and jerks

keep trying to improve, but don't over work yourself or take anything too far to an extreme, just stay consistent and continuously try to keep your diet healthy and within a reasonable caloric range to your maintenance, and stay consistent in the gym, for more specific details on diet and exercise there is information readily available from bodybuilding forums, and personal trainers at your local gyms (make sure they are qualified before trusting their advice as some PT's are clueless)

as for getting girls and your self esteem, that will come from inside you, if you need to look good to feel good about yourself, then get started asap on plan of action to improve the way you look

You're right the thread de-railed. Got so much caught up that I didn't even help the OP.

Loosing weight depends whether you already got some muscle or not. If you don't, then do what pumpington sais.
But if you do, and you don't want to lose it then you have to do the following for optimal results:
1) nutrition: ingest 500 calories under maintenance along with 150-200g of protein a day (depends on your lean mass weight)
2) Lift weight as if you're not losing fat but gaining mass.
3) Do cardio 3-4 times a week. I'd recommend stationary bicycle because it burns as much calories as running but it's less stressful on your heart and you get the fitness faster. Also increase cycling time by 10 mins every second week will you reach 1 hour.
4) Drink lots of water.

For mass I'd stay away from dead-lifts because they're pretty much waste of time. If you want, I can give you my program. Also 700 calories above maintenance with 200g of protein, 2 liters of water daily and 8 hours of rest.


By looks I mean everything physical:

The guy is actually just 205 lbs on a 6'2'', so nothing fancy. Right around where I want to be. He being ripped makes him look much more buff then if he had 10 more pounds of fat.

I'm actually 1-1.5 years away from this physique. Still better looking then 90% of guys out there.

also posture, style, scent, grooming, cleanliness... tan, white and healthy teeth, nice breath... some accessories like piercings, rings, watch, necklace...

Heh, chubby...

You look pretty handsome to me dude. I don't see the chubbiness. Also the hair/stuff you wear kind of suits you. (Again, not an expert on other guy's looks)

If you want to work on your physique, I don't see the point in loosing fat so I'd go for gaining mass for the next 8 months at least. Then cut for 4 and repeat the cycle.

Also you look like you might have great potential... in looking fantastic with some more mass.

I feel as though I'd be at massive disadvantage to the slimmer, taller guys! I'm only about 5'9/5'10. I mean surely with a big belly and waist I can't attract women right?

Hi Danny, I asked two of my female friends what they thought of your pic (they're both HB9) One said "he's a good looking guy" and the other said "nice sexy smile"

Nobody is saying that looks don't matter at all; they just don't matter as much as you think, they're your baseline to work from. Do the best that you can with them by being groomed and smartly dressed that will establish your maximum HG (hot guy?) rating then spend the rest of your time improving your PUA skill.

Just say you were an HG5, confidence alone would allow you to upscale to HB7 girls and basic PUA skills will do the same things, average PUA skills will get you HB8's and good solid PUA will get you the HB9-10's.

I have a hypothesis that becoming good at PUA as in MPUA would allow a guy to upscale by 5-6 points on the scale if his game was solid.
