So I am entering college, and I have the orientation on Wednesday. I have always been very nervous around people in general but especially girls. I have never had a girlfriend and only a few female friends. I just cant get the courage to talk to girls. I always make excuses about how i am socially awkward, how i dont look good, or they will judge me and it will ruin my life. I have always wanted to change that, and this Wednesday is the perfect time to do that because nobody knows who i am and it will be a fresh start. What i am asking for is a basic guide how to open the conversation, keep it going, and close it, and how to possibly get laid for the first time. Also some basic things to remember to calm my anxiety would awesome. O am extremely intimidated with girl who are in groups so tips on that would also be appreciated My heart is pounding just from thinking about Wednesday, but i need to finally grow a pair and talk to girls. I just want some help with it.

Set small goals. So on Wednesday, make a goal, perhaps. of just getting the names of 3 or 4 people and finding out one or two things about them. Very doable, but a little stretch maybe from where you've been.
Also don't base your view of your entire future on any of this. It's tempting at first to think every person you talk to is a sign of how things will go forever. But it isn't. Just talk for a few people, basic chat, and go from there. One little bit bigger goal at a time.
And you're right, going away to a new place is a great chance to get started on improving. _________________ http://www.communicationskillsactivities.net <-Click to Learn Secrets from a World Champion Public Speaker
