I used to be horrible at this. AA paralyzed me.
Theres a simple answer, its called getting in-state. I recently learned about this thing called the imitation game. Basically find a friend who is also trying to learn PUA and go to a restaurant or some other place where there are alot of people around.
You then take turns telling each other to be something completely random, well imitate it.
So like first i would tell my friend to be a toaster
Then he acts out what a toaster would do.
Then he tells me to be... i dunno a tree.
Now i act like a tree.
After a few rounds it usually has full effect.
The Key is to say FUCK IT, and just do it.
It works because you relieve yourself of all social pressure.
Now when you go to approach, start with hey (In a loud confident voice) and say something, literally you can open with anything.
I hope this helps; just remember the imitation game will boost your state, you will be confident, you wont care what other people think of you, and therefore you are not nervous when you go to approach.
If anyone wants a video, let me know and ill see if i can get someone to record my friend and I doing it.

Yesterday we just played it in an open circle thing in the center of the mall. You dont have to do it in the same place you sarge, u just want to make sure people are around and obviously right before you sarge
