I feel I'm pretty decent at most of the other stuff that comes with picking up ladies, except my shyness is holding me back. If I'm introduced, or know the girl from somewhere, I can game her all I want and get some positive reactions. But I can't take the step and talk to someone I've never talked to before. I've always been shy since I was a young kid, hell I would hide behind my parent's legs when meeting someone new when I was real little. But I guess I've kept some of those traits as I grew up, and can't seem to get rid of them. Its part of who I am. I have the confidence, but its useless if the girl is interested and I can't force myself to open. Such as the girl in my history class. I get tons of IOIs, but I don't say a word to her. Or when walking through the halls in college - I can hold eye contact forever and smile back, but once they pass its over. I've read plenty of tips, but none of them seem to be phasing me. I'll give it another few weeks to see if my shyness calms down, I guess I need to grow some balls.

you have to get yourself to realize that there is no real consequence to trying and failing. so you get shut down, so what? chances are you probably wont see that person ever again. you have nothing to lose. accepting rejection and failure is part of the process, and until you get just go through some trial and error in trying, it's something you'll never overcome.

There are some good ways to get rid of your shyness. One would be to dress very akward and do that for like a week. Accept every thing people say to you and move on. You can have the shyness hypnotized out of you. Or you can walk up to random people and say stupid stuff like, "My name is Willy Wanka, would you like some candy?" Statements that would gain a weird response/look.

I don't remember where I read it, but I agree with the person that said that things like these just tend to cause a lot of issues and if you're not wholey committed to following through, then you get messed up and might stop working on getting better all together.

I'd recommend talking to random guys if they give you the same anxiety. If you talk to enough random guys and can realise that girls are just as interested in guys, as guys are in girls and if you are as good in person as you come off online, then they won't hate talking to you, so you can sarge them. You're not weird or creepy, so just say, "Hi" and start talking about something on your mind in reference to something situational. They're gonna respond, because that's just what people do, we're curious and want to talk to other people, we enjoy it.

Rye Lee is right.

We're social animals.

Why do you think women are in the clubs? To dance, to chat with friends, to to find new ones, to sleep with men.

Life is a veritable merry go round of crushes, flirtations etc

Women become used to rejecting guys, so become used to being rejected by them and slowly you will notice, if you keep improving your game, that they reject you less and less.

Social skills are an art and a skill.

If you wanted to paint a painting, your first would suck, then the rest would get better. If you arm yourself with knowledge.. well that helps.

When you speak with them, forget that you want to sleep with them.

Treat them girls as if they were interesting men^^

GOOD advice. This is sort of how I do it. I don't think of them like men, but I just think of them as people and treat all people the same.
