I've been shy all my life but now I've learned to just start living in the present and not care...but I still have a bad image of myself therefor when two highstatus people are talking about what they like I can't think of anything interesting to say..So what I'm asking is, when two or more people are talking about something that you aren't interested in how do you change the topic into what you like talking about?? any advice will be much appreciated.

Slow transition the best way I have found is while they are talking and mention something in the conversation that gives you the in and out take it.

EX: Your talking to two girls and they are talking about skirts. You want to change subject.

G1: "I know I got this one at Macys!"
G2: "Really, I need to go there and check out the selection"
G1: "Yeah theres not alot left"
You: What Macys do you go to?
G1: The one at AMC mall in Arlington
You: Yeah I go to AMC mall to shop for my shoes sometimes but I hate going
because the parking sucks.
G2: I know!!!

Successful subject change.
