I'm gonna go on my first sarge possibly with a wing who is unfamiliar with pick up. I probably will use the mystery method openers such as...

1) Would you date a guy named herman?
2) My friend keeps pictures of his ex under his bed and his gf burned them, do you think its right or wrong?
3) Excuse me I need your opinion on something, What do you think of girls with tattoos?

My problem is following along with these openers and keeping a natural conversation going as well as building rapport. And when I'm done with that what do I do?

First off, have fun on your first sarge.

Second, don't worry about what to do next. Concentrate on opening. If you start to run out of things to say, all you have to do is say it was a pleasure meeting you but I do have to get back to my friends. And if your using your FTC's it will be perfectly natural. And then you open the next set. (and who is to say that the next set you open isn't the friends you already told them about. They don't know.)

Oh one of my favorite openers.

Hey, I lost my friends and now I am scared. Do you remember in kindergarten when you could make friends so easy. You just said, hey do you want to be my friend. It was awesome. So would you guys like to be my friends?

Twist it around to suit yourself. Always one of my favorites. Especially for 2-4 sets of girls.

Try direct game first. Itll loosen you up to do a bit more indirect game as direct takes alot more balls. Just find a decent chick HB 6 and up, tell her "Hey I'm XXXXX, I jsut thought you were cute as hell and i woudlve regretted not talking to you for the rest of the night". Then follow with some negs, push pull, something like "So I thought you were real cute but i didnt realize you have terrible shoes", something playful, showing her that you can flirty and are not obsessed with her. Dont stay with one girl the whole time, talk about the party, tease her, give her some beef about trying to pick you up, stuff like that. Number close, create a time contstraint, tell her to say hi if she sees you again, leave. Call her the next day.

I don't agree that you shouldn't worry about what comes next--the answer to that is nothing if you start with a great opener and then stammer with no follow-through. I'd imagine the two most likely scenarios--that she clearly blows you off or takes the bait--and figure out roughly how you'll respond in each scenario.
