Alright, so I just found this forum and I figured I'd sign up. I just turned 18, I'm still a virgin, haven't even kissed a girl since I was like.. 11? ..never had much luck with girls. My looks aren't the best but I've gotten over that - my main concern is being more confident and overcoming approach anxiety.

Anyway, in short, the last couple of years went really well for me, I was meeting plenty of new people, guys and girls alike, the anxiety seemed to be fading away. I was still pretty shy, didn't get laid, but I enjoyed myself and met some great people.

Recently I moved country, I know the language but not very well - so I occasionally say things that are rude in the language by mistake, or get things wrong. The problem is, this has brought back my anxiety much worse than it was before - so I was wondering, how do you guys deal with approach anxiety in foreign countries? - once I'm talking to someone I'm fine, but it feels like I somehow have to convey why I'm approaching them - the fact that I'm from England, and all of this in the first 10 seconds of the conversation - and that's pretty hard without sounding weird hah.

Thanks in advance for the advice. I'm really happy with my life here aside from the approach anxiety I have with people - and if I could get over that I'd be real happy.

Study sociology

speak english, make them think ur just a tourist from england
that way they become more shy and therefore have a lower value
for me its the exact opposite, i moved into an english speaking country and i dont know the language too well and it gives me AA, and the problem is i cant speak in a foreign language because they wont understand.. it'll work for u because everyone speaks englsih
