now i know somewhat that i am agoraphobic . what could be some solutions. how can i get over this. i got this excerpt below from wiki which shows symptoms of agoraphobia. i checked YES on that describe me.
"
Examples of situations avoided by most people with agoraphobia are:

* being outdoors YES
* being away from home alone SOMEWHAT
* being in crowds YES
* sitting in a middle row in a theater/class YES
* standing in lines YES
* taking an elevator NO
* crossing a bridge NO
* driving a car (especially in heavy traffic) SOMEWHAT
* using public transportation like buses and planes YES"

how can i personally deal with this ? when going to the doctor and taking medication are not options.

im 19 male in college and having a tough time at school/work b/c of it . ... my social life is NILL... barely have any friends and really want to get over this .

it kept me from being accepted to this college i had applied . wasted an entire year because of it.

i fear if it this goes unchecked .. i will waste this year as well

Alright bro, true phobias are overcome with a combination of life coaching and therapy. My first suggestion is to seek the help of a psychiatrist. An MD, not a therapist or a counselor or anything like that. Go onto your health insurance's website and search for psychiatrists that are covered in your network then make an appointment. Hopefully, you can find one that specializes in phobias.

The faster that you get help is the faster that you can get better. Time is relevant!

Between now and your appointment, try to relax and go with the flow. If you are afraid of something, allow it, accept it, don't get stressed about. It's okay to be afraid of things, just as long as you have the drive to overcome them.

In your free time, I would suggest mediating, imagining yourself outside, relaxing, not stressed. Allow yourself to submit to the good feelings. Feel how you want to feel. You will become what you think about.
