But, some people, although they may be talkative, are the most self-centered people I know. I've been re-examining my relationship with this one person and realize that he's never asked me how I was doing, how I was feeling. He just mostly talked about himself. Sure, when you talk about current events or something, people will talk back to you. But when you talk about themselves, they'll love you for it, just make sure that they take an interest in you as well.
So, the main point: we should not just strive to be social, but to take an interest in other people as well. It's also an easy way to talk to people.
