Am sorry to hear that, are you depressed? or somewhere down that line, something similar happened to me not too long ago where i entered a depression and lost all my social skills, i didn't want to be with anyone, just locked my self in my room..

What's the problem? Is it that you're feeling too self-conscious or is it something else? Have you and your friends merely grown apart?

Are you EATING healthy? Getting enough sleep? Exercising regularly? All these can affect your mood.

It's one thing to be lethargic from sleep/diet, another to be depressed. If you're actually feeling depressed, consult a psychologist or psychiatrist.

This, and what the OP mentioned are pretty much exactly the same things that happened to me. In my case it was due to the breakup of my band and subsequently moving city. But depression (if it is depression, and that's a big 'if') doesn't kick in overnight. If you're feeling miserable, do something about it now before it potentially gets worse - and remember, psychiatric help and anti-depressants are palliative remedies, not complete solutions. Only you can really sort yourself out.

As far as fixing how you feel, I really don't know because obviously I don't know you. What I will say is: whatever you do don't shut yourself off from people when things get tough. That's a slippery slope (believe me). I'm sure if you keep hanging out with your friends and give it enough time, you'll start feeling like your old self again. Good luck.
