| I have an idea:
Not sure if this belongs here or in confidence building, but I'll have it moved if necessary.
For some time now I've heard of the term "Frame" and "Framing". I'm not entirely sure what this means, but I've gathered it refers to placing oneself in the right "frame of mind", so as to bolster confidence, and kind of switch into PUA mode.
I read in a post elsewhere about using NLP on oneself in order to help a person get into the right frame when necessary. And a few nights ago, I discovered that I couldn't get into the right frame. I have yet to find my trigger that brings out the social, outgoing PUA in me. Sometimes it happens by chance, other times the trigger is forced (i.e. by alcohol lol), and the rest of the time, I might as well be invisible.
So my idea was to anchor (in a similar way to NLP anchoring) those feelings of confidence, sociability, and spontaneity within a physical item - say for example a ring, or a chain, or a suit or something that can be worn. The idea here is that the act of putting this item on would trigger that inner PUA and help get into the proper frame.
Anyone have thoughts on this? On the proper way of going about doing this? Perhaps the best thing is to always be in the positive frame, but as a very visual person, I find that this may help.
Any ideas / views?
