i've only been on this forum for about 30 hrs but something i noticed is that it seems like there's no way to tell if the person answering your questions is 17 or 47 years old. and if the question is "how do i convince her that im sincere when im really not" the answer should be completely different depending on the age groups. Worsening this is that some people on here seem to quote their answers from the books they've read and not from actual experience regardless of age. i joined this website cause i thought it was full of guys who enjoy going out and spitting game to females, not guys who are scared to do it and resort to self help books. no offense to anybody but there needs to be something more to distinguish the guys that get girls from the lames who are trying to get to that level.

BTW, I'm 27 - married, divorced, have been doing this for over a year, teach it now, and have 100+ FR before I got my LTR that I still have. IF it matters to you!

I can hear what you are saying. There are a lot of people who quote books on here like they have in-field experience. Others who don't have much of either that are just "keyboard jockeys" that give advice.

In some cases this can help for those who don't know the material as well. In other cases it hurts because of the lack of in field experience. It's a give and take. I'm sure those people are just trying to help but...

The problem with in-field experience being shown is it's an honor system. How many guys do you think would be honest about it? For some it's a matter of pride and it'd bruise their poor ego.

I think it's a good idea though. Because the amount of posts doesn't mean much either really. I mean I post a lot on here because I get bored at my IT job, period. I figure why not help out where I can and give back. Some people don't care if they do and that's cool too but they are just as experience as I am.

i understand you on that one. I guess any way to seperate the people that actually have in field exp. from the people that claim they do would be too complicated.[/quote]

While AGE matters just like looks and dress. It doesn't really change the fundamentals. The last girl I sarged was 16 years younger. In fact being older means that you must have skills in most cases. While some of the fluff is cultural the fundamentals of PU transcend age.

From your post it sounds like you can sort those trying to make a name for themselves vs those who can do. Just skip over those posters that don't add value. These types of posters have grown in number since Neil and MM made PUA a business for the common man.

I would also suggest looking at old archives since a few years ago, posters didn't have the motive of starting their own PUA business.

Firstly age does not really matter, same as looks, money etc. Pick up is the same for us all.

Colloso Your point about, distinguish the guys that get girls from the lames who are trying to get to that level is a bit harsh. We all need to start somewhere. Someone like myself who admits to being newish to the world of pick up, i will not try and give advice that is above my current level of pick up. But at the rate i am improving i am hoping soon i will be able to give such advice. Don't discourage newbies because one day they maybe the new Neil Strauss who will contribute great content to this forum :D

However the problem does come when somebody tries to punch over their weight and so turns to books. What I can't understand is why anyone feels the need to exagerate about their ability on a forum. Who cares what somebody who you have never met and will probably never meet thinks of you is pure craziness. If you are a noob act like one and use the forum to learn. Once you get better then start giving advice.

When I started pick up i learnt alot form books, dvds and a friend of mine. Then i went out and used this information i had learned. Now i participate in this forum to share the stuff that was successful for me in the field. If everyone done this we would all benifit more. You must try it in the field and see if it works before recommending the advice to someone else.

Well this is my opinion anyway
