Try some different brands - Bare-skin Trojans aren't bad (one of the better ones I've found)... You can certainly still tell you've got one on, but they seem a lot better than some of the thick ones out there. Maybe other users have other suggestions - or you can try for yourself.

They're much thinner and just all around better than latex condoms. I keep one on me, for in case a girl absolutely insists on it(only comes up a handful of times). It's nearly as effective as condoms and withdrawl(which is also as effective as condoms).

Even absent any condoms or purchased birth control, you can just about avoid pregnancy with a few small steps. Combine withdrawl with fertility awareness, and you're nearly set. Odds of pregnancy are quite poor. About the same as relying on a single quality method, like a birth control pill(both are %92 effective). Note: condoms are NOT a quality method at %82.

Keep in mind, if you just use condoms, your odds of pregnancy is about %18 per year of use. Which works out to a > %50 chance of pregnancy after just 3 years. Condoms really are shit, and I just don't know why anyone promotes them.

Though I'm personally a huge advocate of IUDs, there isn't much you can do about that, other than inform her they even exist. They're cheaper and vastly more effective than pills, but quite uncommon in America.

I really don't understand all the fuss with condoms. It's not that bad. I've only went without condom with girls whom I have known to be clean and known were on the pill (girlfriends basically). Other than that I always go with the condom, I don't want to catch anything, it's totally worth the very very minor inconvenience.
