Hey guys, ill keep this short and sweet. Ive broken up with my "one-itis" ex (for which we dated for a year and escalated/experienced a lot in a short amount of time ie meeting parents, etc etc,) back in November. The thing is, we come from the same university social circle, which now seems to contain of a lot of inner circle dating which is leading for disaster if their relationships happen to end like mine.

My ex is already dating a new guy not from the social circle but is an acquaintance to some of our mutual friends, and my problem is that even though I have alot of anger and repressed emotional feelings towards her, (given she was my 1st one-itis love) how should I act and present myself in social group settings, provided she and her new bf are going to be normally attending? Alpha, larger than life, life of the party type of person? Would it be a bad idea to greet everyone in the social group and purposely ignore my ex, but shake hands with her new bf for whom I have no grudge against? Advice is greatly appreciated!

Hey How are you?

I know where your coming from. I recently got out of a relationship in which we had the same group of friends.Just be nice/ respectful to EVERYONE, even the ex.

What it will come across as and feel free to correct me if I am wrong, as you being the bigger person and you are unaffected by her and it also shows your a good person.

As for Alpha, larger than life, or life of the party type of person? This may seem corny but all I can say is just be you.

Hope this helps.
