I don't know if this is the right section or the right forum even (prob not) but I've been coming here for a lot of my lifes problems lately.

I work construction for a company that does asbestos removal. My Union pays 39$ an hour which is really good for me but the problem is the company they set me up with barely has any work. And a lot of people in the union are out of work so they tend to give whatever jobs come up to the older members.

I'm also going to school full time for business management and I'm in my 3rd year. I already have an associates in liberal arts.

The problem is I'm 25 and I'm definitely not in a happy place right now. I have a girl that I been dating for 7 months and the money thing is really starting to catch up to me. She comes from a rich area which makes this dynamic even more difficult. I feel very pressured.

I want to find work ASAP but I literally have no idea where to start. I've never been good at this aspect of my life and never really had anyone to mentor me in this area.

Can you guys give me any advice as to where to start or if you had similar experiences what you did?

I'll comment on just one aspect of this. If you are having financial troubles, you'll never be able to appease a girl who is used to money. All you can really do is try to use psychological tactics to make up for it. Tell her that you like her but you don't think it's right for you to be with her because you know she needs a guy with money and deserves a better life. And you'd rather see her get the life she deserves than be stuck with you since you are broke. You may even have to DLV yourself a bit and tell her you're a loser and say some self-deprecating things, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Ideally she'll be like "No, no, no, I don't care about money... I like you for you."

That way if the money thing starts to become really problematic later on and she makes some negative comments about it, you can be like "I thought you said you liked me eventhough I was broke?"
