The pick-up artist books and forums pride themselves on having methods that have been proved to work. Is this just because many people have tried them and they just keep on working or is there actual research on the topic? Like, method 1 worked 80% of the time...etc.
If there is any research on this, please send a link!

By the way, I realized this could sound like a passive aggressive question, but I'm just curious!
