Hi Guys,

This looks to be the best place to post about this, basically I'm 26 years old and i am just clueless in what I want to do careerwise.

After school I went to uni for a year, I dropped out the course wasnt for me and at the time i was burned out and not motivated to continue learning, basically a wasted year.

I decide that a being a Fireman was more suited (initialy i thought i could just apply and a few weeks later begin training) it was over a year before the first recruitment drive. Needless to say I got through the form, the physical test and interview second time round 2 years later. Only for the recession to kick in and out of the 12 places 6 were cut I was one of the 6 cut.

They were "kind" enough to put my through to the physicals again for the next year, Igot to the interview stage and didnt get a place. After 3 years i pretty much gave up I felt defeated and felt my passion for wanting the job gone.

While this was going on I did 25 hours a week at a local shop, before moving to a call centre then customer serive for an online company full time.

Im still with that online company and got a small promotion about 2 years ago, they treat us well, the jobs not hard work. Its Monday-Friday 9-5 and I earn about 22k per year.

I moved into my first flat 2 years ago which i own part of, i wiped out my savings to get it and have only £300-400 to myself a month after my basic outgoings. So far this year my 1k savings I had got it back too have taken a battering and am down to £300 (but with nothing massive coming out).

So after all this I just feel like, im in an average job with nowhere to go higher, im bored and it doesnt challange me. I barely have any free cash no savings and have this feeling of wanting more. Alot of my friends have long term gf, moving in togther buying new cars which adds to me feeling a bit left behind?

The thing is I get ideas in my head, then i look into it and i either cannot afford it.

I have had ideas from, cameraman to electrician to train driver but there is nothing im really passionate about or can afford.

I suppose i could just do with some random advice.
