Hey guys
I know this is a little random but I think it needs to be
mentioned for further discussion.
So I decided yesterday to download The Game audiobook to
see how it differed from the physical thing itself.
(I've read the book twice so I know what it's all about) and I must
say, I'm a little disappointed by some things inside the audio.
I listened to this thing in one go. I was at work so I had fun
for about 3 and a half hours listening to it
If you've heard it then you'll know what I'm talking about,
if not, please consider giving it a listen.
Anyway, there is quite alot of missing information and hints
and blabs from the actual book that was scrapped altogether
for the sake of scrunching it all together into a 3.5 hour
audio experience. Apart from the voice over/narrater
sounding like a guy from the mafia which made the
whole thing sound cheesy and over the top are
here a few things they left out.
- Styles highschool poem was left out
(A very deep peom from Style was
not even mentioned)
- The MSN conversations on Mysteries
chat rooms was cut out (these were
the most informative and funniest
bits in the book)
- Style and Mysteries insane sleeping
pattern techniques were missing (they
were both undergoing a sleeping pattern
changer technique which allowed them to
train their bio-clock in order to stay up
for longer in order to sarge more) This
was really interesting to see how the
did it and what they went through
after the sarging in project hollywood.
- "The Saddest Story In The World" was
completely cut out too. In one section
of the book Style runs a story technique
on a girl and tells her about a story
which makes her become attracted
and invested in Style! Not only is
this a very rare story to find on
the web but no one knows
which page it is on in the book
You try sifting through over
500 pages looking for one
article!
- Mysteries illustrated drawing of a girl
dispaying how to neg and DHV was cut
out aswell. Surely they could have
implemented this somehow?
There are many other things that
were left out, it's not a monumental
failure but it can help a persons insight
into the community just by putting those
things in. What do you think? I think it's
terrible that they left out perfectly good
dabs of info that can add more emphasis to
the entire story and give the person more insight
into what went down afterwards, during or before
anyone gets into the community itself. I mean,
the MSN conversations are practically gold
and funny as hell but they compliment
the book itself.
You're thoughts guys.
