| I've been reading a lot about this "Men's Rights" movement and although I strongly advocate having a space for men to be men, all I've been hearing about is how most of the stance of Men's Rights is about hating women. It's been giving everyone in this community and even those of us who don't consider ourselves a PUA (like myself, more of a lifestyle guy) a bad name. I want to put this baby to rest.
Being a man is NOT about hating women! For those who think this community is a He-Man Woman Haters club, they've got the wrong idea. For those of you who are joining because you hate women or want revenge for getting turned down, LEAVE NOW.
Being a man has nothing to do and is in NO WAY about hating women. Being a man is about being strong, charismatic, bold, confident and KIND. It is about knowing when to stand your ground and when to give. It is about loving your family and friends as well as taking caring of those you love. It's about being charitable, giving back to your community and being willing to give your fellow man a helping hand.
Manliness, or better yet being a gentleman, has been going out the window. The feeling of a clean shave, a nice haircut, clothes that make you look dashing and knowing the right kind of drink to order have become a lost art.
Instead, people find themselves lying and peacocking to try and trick girls into sleeping with them. Then we give each other high fives and talk about how manly we are. That's bullshit.
I don't care if I catch flack for this, I don't care if you disagree, we need to stand up and show people what real men are by setting an example. We need to be the men our grandfathers were known to be and we need to live up to a code of ethics and chivalry that creates leadership and respect.
Most of all, we need to STOP blaming our insecurities on the opposite sex. A REAL MAN takes responsibility for his own life, his own actions and his own outcomes. I hope you will stand with me on this and be a REAL MAN, not just another angry little boy.
Please spread this around, I think a lot of "men" need to hear this. _________________ Writer, entrepreneur, life coach, man's man, traveler, friend.
