There are three general types of mattresses and many hybrids. Innerspring, foam, and air mattresses are all great options for consumers. Since comfort is subjective, people may have a preference for one type of mattress over a hybrid model. It is widely recommended that consumers replace their mattress every five to seven years, depending on the quality of the mattress, but an excellent mattress can last for a decade or more.
