im looking for a couple good novels to read that a pua might find interesting. i dont mean pick up guides, i just want a story or a good read for when im bored. they can be fiction/nonfiction biography etc doesnt matter. i would probably be much more inclined to read it if the protagonist is a good example of an alpha male though.

ive already read "The game" for the record, and am considering reading russel brands "bookie wook" .can anyone think of a good read for me?

Sex, Lies, and Online Dating by Rachel Gibson. It's a crime/romance novel, the main dude acts pretty cool, if my memory serves me well, and the plot is good too.

Journey to the End of the Night - Celine
The Stranger - Albert Camus
The Metamorphesis - Kafka

These books will make you smart and sexier, and more intelligently evolved than most people.

Whilst I know where you're coming from re: a pretty cool protagonist to sort of maybe get some inspiration from (and that's fair enough!), I would just like to chuck in that to be honest, reading anything at all can be a help. It gives you stuff to talk about, and most novels, whether classics, crime, fantasy, whatever, will have something in there that gets your mind thinking - and that's usually a good thing for conversations etc.

Edit: Holden - good call on Kafka. A lot of his stuff is pretty weird, but also pretty deep and thought provoking.

I've been reading and adaptation of Journey to the West. It's a Chinese folklore about the Monkey King and how he acquired all his knowledge and power. According to what I've read so far, he's a natural born leader, gets what he wants, and demands respect from every creature whether inferior or superior. I always like telling girls about this story because there's a lot of fantasy and mysticism behind the legend. The adaptation is pretty long though; about 1500 pages so be prepared to get sucked in if you have the time.

For a hilarious insight into the psyche of an average american male and his sexual experiences, try: "the average american male", by Chad Kultgen

For the story of a man's transformation into a true alpha man, try: "The fighter" by Craig Davidson (but be aware it has nothing to do with seduction).

For an insight into female fantasy and burgeoning sexuality (and for its sheer literary qualities), try: "The lover" by Marguerite Duras

Piers Anthony has written some pretty good stuff, mostly sci-fi and fantasy. A lot of his books are about guys who get what they want through intelligence and analysis of the situation.

He wrote a shit-ton of book, though, so a lot of them are crap, too.

I second the recommendation of Fight Club, Chuck Palahniuk is great and it says a lot about the struggles of the average guy. The movie is pretty great, too.
