I regularly end up watching some movie in my or her bedroom before (or after) I get laid with a HB, and I sure many of you do too. The movie is always helpful for creating the right SPAM. So which movies are the best ones to watch?

There are a load of romance movies out there, some of them good (the notebook, p.s. I love you, love actually) and most of them bad. I would never recommend a chickflick directly because she is going to think you are gay or something, but there are subtle ways to prevent this effect (for example, you sister says that you really need to see it, so that you got the movie but never actually bothered to see it).

Still, I prefer to see movies that are a little bit more original. What are your favorite movies to watch with girls? I will start with a small list. Please add what type of girl would like it if you can.

Big Fish - I really like the magical SPAM of the film, but she needs to like fantasy at least a little

The Notebook, P.S. I love you, Love Actually - nice romance stories, but be careful not to try too hard in creating this romance

Twilight - It is actually not a good movie, but vampires are hot and it should stir up her emotions if she isn't too intelligent. She should also like fantasy I guess. I noticed many girls totally live this movie

True Romance - I really love this classic by quentin tarentino. She should be able to handle some raw violence though.

The Hangover - Unfortunately there a few girls out there that haven't seen it yet, but it is an awesome comedy that any girl should enjoy

Gladiator and Braveheart - because they are cool

So what movies do you like to watch with girls? The more original the better :) (I hope you can come up with some more original/ less well known movies than I did :p)

My biggest piece of advice to watching certain movies with a female would be that it must fit the profile of the girl. For instance, if she tells you specifically that she does not like romance or horror movies, then stay away from those. I usually find out what she is into so that I can talor the movie to what she wants.
I find that a movie that has a litttle bit of everything and hits a nerve to most girls I talk with is "The Count of Monte Cristo" (the modern movie is better). But I have even seen the likes of "Dawn of the Dead" with a female if she is into gore. Get to know her, then pick one that works for her. I am sure that you will not care about what is on the screen as long as she is placated and thinks that you are cool.
Now if you want to show her a specific movie from a genra that she likes, then promote it before you two see it. One time this one girl did not see an action movie I loved (Live Free or Die Hard); I made that movie sound so awesome that she desired to see it badly. Once she saw it and we spoke about it, I knew she appreciated the film and my tastes...

I remember a while ago I was dating this chick and she HATED horror and thriller movies. And one day we were going to go watch a movie, and it was pretty late so the only movie (second to last for the night...the last movie was 30 mins later) that was playing soon was Hostel 2. She'd never seen hostel 1, so I told her I don't think you'd like this movie...the first one was gory, and I'm assuming this one would be too.
She ended up arguing with me so I said fine lets go watch hostel 2. hahah funniest shit! we are in there and 30 minutes in she's like "i wanna leave!!!" i go "nah you wanted to watch this...so we're going to watch it" lol.

Some good movies are.

Porno movies (no doubt, I've actually shown a few girls porn on my friends harddrive, laptop, and CD's). It also depends on the girl. If she is comfortable 100% with me being straightforward, then I would just go for it given the opportunity. But I usually never get that far in a relationship to watch a movie with a girl though :(

Without a paddle (one of my favourite movies!!). I swear if a girl didn't like this movie, I'd kick her out! lol probably not, but still!

hmm... thats about all I can remember watching with girls in my room... (oh...and sincity!)
:? :?

I know there was a few but can't remember them!

However, I usually tell a girl what type of movies I'm into. I hate sappy romances and romantic comedies aswell. I love shit like adventure, fantasy, comedy (no romance), thriller, horror. etc.
I'd tell a girl what I like.
I wouldn't mind watching a romance occasionally if she picks it out or something. But usually it ain't my type.
I've watched horror movies with girls who hated horrors and I'd still get away with watching it by saying something like: oh come on we both know that its just an excuse for you to hide on my shoulder or jump in my lap

... damn that was a fucking essay..

An episode of Angel worked pretty well for an ex. It helps if you look like the lead character :|

Youth in Revolt is my personal favorite to watch with a girl.

Others would be:

Gone in 60 seconds
Shaun of the Dead
Any pre-1993 horror film. I remember being with a girl with a movie about alien zombies! So cheesy.
Hitch (but not for first night)
Jennifer's body

^^^^ I think Sam's right. There's something about older films that just isn't present in today's modern movies. One movie I'd like to add is Breakfast at Tiffany's starring Audrey Hepburn.

I've always gotten good feedback with girls who watch dramatic, thriller, or mystery movies. Think Bone Collector, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Inception, and Shutter Island. I tend to go with movies I know can stir up emotions in a human being.

Don't forget about foreign films too! I had an ex completely sucked into a recent Hong Kong film called True Legend because of the drama AND action in it. By the end, she was telling me how great the movie was while she was balling her eyes out lol.

This is not a personal recommendation LoL, but actually when I pulled my LTR we were watching Saw. If I hadn't known the better that she's just as fucked up as I am lol... And well also...not like we were paying much attention to the movie anyways ;)
