The other night I went out with a group of guys (4 of us) and the first club we went to, we all got bounced. "Regular faces only".
The second club we split into groups of 2's, and the first 2 got in, then me and my other mate who were in the second group got bounced. "Sorry boys, not tonight".
The third said they weren't letting anyone in...
The fourth bounced because of my shoes (Nike Air Jordan I's). Fair enough.

So I'm just coming here in regards to the first two... I get that the group of 4 guys without any girls is probably a good reason to bounce. But the second one was just weird. We used guestlists for both clubs, and in terms of the second club, our other 2 mates who got in used the same list as us.

What are some reasons for bouncing? We were dressed with collared shirts, proper clothes, no shorts, etc.

I've been to many nightclubs in the past without a worry, but lately I'm on a run now of 4 bounces in a row (2 without any good reason), and it's just crushing the self esteem.

Clubs get bounce crazy mostly for business reasons. It's (an annoying) strategy to make them seem more "exclusive" in an attempt to attract more business, and/or to keep out people they think won't spend as much money.

Unless you know your personal style needs work, don't bother putting the energy and money there--the two best ways to avoid this outcome are...

1) bring at least 1 girl to the club with you, doesn't matter if she is smoking hot, doesn't matter if she is interested in any of the dudes you are with;

2) get to know at least one club worker (bouncer, bar tender, waitress, doesn't matter, and make him/her your new fucking best friend.
