Canada is on the verge of either legalizing or keeping polygamy polygamy illegal. As a Canadian, this would obviously have a huge impact on me. However, this will impact the community greatly on an international level. Women would be much more open to the thought of MLTR's.

We need to get on this.

Dear god, is that all you care about? "Women would be much more open to the though of MLTRs?" There are many reasons to support the legalization of polygamy (easier to regulate multiple marriages, there is no sane reason why marriage should be defined in such rigid terms as to include only one man and one woman, ect), however, your "reason" (dare I even grace it with such a term) is not a reason at all.

Absolutely not, polygamy is a much more popular form of marriage compared to monagamy. In addition, men who live in polygamous relationships statistically speaking live longer lives. Also, Canada is a nation that promotes freedom, yet they are taking away the freedom to choose multiple partners in a relationship. If polygamy is legalized this can greatly hurt bible thumping religions.
