Hey what does the reputation on the side of hte forum means. I tried to read about it in FAQ... can any one give me a link if the answere lies within the forum site.

I believe it is the 2nd tab from the left,to the left of the Log In/Out tab,that shows people previous posts on a subject that most likely has been discussed,and may provide the answers,so that,in the case of someone not using search,there would be no excessant posts,and everyone will live stress free,and world peace may actually come to earth.

That link Black Bull still doesn't explain how points are given
why does someone with th same amount of post as me have more rep points when they don't have any votes?

I'd like to know the answer

I believe the rep you gain is equivalent to the length,and quality,of a post you type.

Plus,add to the fact that you lose 1 rep point by giving it out,and maybe the people higher than you kept their rep points,or may have had more deep,insightful posts.

That should do it.
