The Mystery Method ("The Venusian Arts Handbook")- Mystery. Chapter 2
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This thread is aimed to address the subjected book in further detail. Please read the above chapter and input your thoughts and discussion on any points you feel relevant to improving your (or anybody's) knowledge of pickup.

See following thread for further detail: viewtopic.php?p=139355#139355

  • - ultimate purpose of life - survive. penultimate - replicate
    * 28k days - taking this further you have perhaps 20 years of "prime" life? 7,000 days or so. Thinking about this is pretty much my best motivator if I feel AA.
    * preparation and training vital and definitely very much overlooked by people falling into the 'AFC' bracket. I think it's a pride thing - "I don't need to learn that, I kissed this real hot drunk girl on friday/last month/last year". If everybody had the skills then who would lose out? Actually nobody; geeks and current social misfits would be very good socially and would only miss out if their standards couldn't be met - in which case they aren't actually missing out.
    * social interaction a prerequisite to success in survival and replication. Survival being done not on brute force but leadership and ability to organise.

    - Dynamic social homeostatis - balance between protecting self and aligning with others - this is why we form "groups" and why it is sometimes difficult to break those walls. what about the fearless among us? Beschatten(!!) esque; out of balance? Does this effect their life in any nagative way?

    - cerebral cortex - memory, attention, perceptual awareness, thought, language, and consciousness. Does anybody know enough about this to go into detail on what the evolution of this is having and could potentially have moving forward? That is to say, what has the isocortex added to our ability to survive, and what effect could further evolution of this area have in the future?

    - 6.5 billion people is described as "more competition" - there is also more choice? I suppose the pool of high-valued women is actually going to shrink relative to the total population.

    - We are hardwired to align with high valued people - while I believe this to be true, I have observed some flawed attempts along these lines due to the now socially acceptable use of value (nice cars, new clothes ect). How much are "hard-wired" needs/tendancies effected by social pressures? I would take this example further by noting that a nice car may show carelessness, lack of intelligence or various other traits. A nice car does not make somebody successful - but is "success" a better indicator of value? This is also very much effected by a changing society.

    Anxiety split down
    * Fear of rejection - consequences in ancient times being that you will never mate. genes unapologetically ect. As mentioned there is a much larger pool of people and they do not have full contact with one another, so I would presume the main cause of anxiety is;
    * Fear of reprisal - physical harm coming as result of your approach. This is really not so much of a problem these days given that we have verbal communication (laws also, but you can't pretend they're never broken). The threat is still there, however, and is more real than being ostracized from society?

    - Maslow's hierarchy of needs:
    Image

    * Lower needs must first be satisfied - MM seems on face of things to work 'backwards' - learn from the top with the ultimate goal being sex?

    * HEALTH / WEALTH / LOVE are the key areas for building. What do you actively do to upkeep/improve these areas of your life? School, gym, ect. Can you actively work to decrease your welbeing in a particular area? Alcohol, drugs ect.
    * Quality of life will lessen if an area is neglected. This seems to be the best way to put "don't let PU take over your life".
