I'd like to know whether SD is a good city for this, especially in comparison to Vancouver, my home.
Vancouver's downtown is about 1.5 mi (2km) square, with a high population density. I find day game excellent when the weather is good, July-September. My mean time between targets is as low as 5 minutes, if I am approaching groups and singles, and those targets are all 8 or above. Unfortunately, if the weather is less than excellent however, people don't hang around outside or walk from place to place. Even in July if the weather is cloudy I can spend an hour looking for a decent target.
I see the weather in SD is similar in the winter as Vancouver's summer, but I also notice SD is much more sprawling than Vancouver and probably more car centric. What would be the prime day sarging areas in the winter? What would be the mean time between finding targets 8 or above?
I'm considering other cities also - Sydney, Melbourne, etc. The draw to San Diego would be my ability to drive there and have my car available - but the weather would be better in the Southern Hemisphere.
