Ok so I was wondering how long and how much work do you think it will take to become a master in the field? You think that guy that won the vh1 show is an actual master pick up artist?? is anyone here a master pickup artist or even a pick up artist?

Depends upon what you mean by master.

No guy can get every girl, every time. That animal just doesn't exist in reality. Too many variables including biology.

The guy that won the vh1 show a master pick up artist? Of course not. He's got a decent game, but that just proves socializing is an acquired skill.

I think you have a lot of pick up artists here. Hell you have a lot of pick up artists all over the world. Men have been picking up women since the dawn of time with no formal training. Some are inherently better at it than others. And much of it can be learned.

A master pick up artist? To me this is just a label to describe those who through perseverance and study have taken their game with women to the next level. This shouldn't be confused with a perfect pick up artist.

I would be wary of anyone who claims to be a master at anything, without seeing them in action.

And if you ever meet a guy who says he can pick up any woman, anytime, bet him a $100 and take him to a Lesbian convention.

I guess it depends on your definition of an mPUA?

As for as a PUA... I'd say AFC's need to "get lucky" a PUA requires no luck

Honestly I never saw the show so I can't really chime in on how I felt about the contestants. lol, infact I had just gotten out of a LTR were I was out of the PUA loop for awhile and my reaction when I saw an ad for the show was "hahaha is that Mystery? What does he think he's Ross Jeffries now?"... lol come to find that many PUA's think of him as some sort of hero now.

Master PUA's are probably few and far between.

My theory:

The issue is, D2's are almost always necessary for a lay. By that point, you've already got at least 7 hours of time invested with the girl. Easier to get another lay out of her than to start fresh with a new girl. Next thing you know, you're getting attached to her and she ends up taking you off the market. So you make it to PUA, meet someone really cool, stop sarging and then your skills deteriorate.

A true master, I guess, would get a lay from a girl and dump her and move on. How else would one guy gather enough experience to become a Master PUA??? So the master PUA's fuck 'em and dump 'em and most of us aren't doing that. We end up taking ourselves out of the PUA world with "relationships".

I haven't seen another guy yet, out on the bar scene, who I think exhibits Master PUA traits. I've seen a lot of guys use some PUA stuff, but my guess is once they attract a woman with their skills who'll have them, they're off the market. That's probably why I haven't ever seen a guy out in the bars who I suspected was a Master PUA. They're just rare.

This is certainly not high status behavior. Which by almost any measure is a prerequisite for being successful with women. Well women worth having anyway.

Practically any guy can pick up drunk or easy to manipulate women, if that's what they want.

To become a master? I think it all depends on how much effort you put into the art that would determine the time to become a "master." Even then a master is just a highly skilled pua with quick adaptability and calibration. As far as Kosmo goes, is he a master? IMHO I dont think so. Is he skilled? sure.
As far as masters on here? Kinda hard to say just cuz the title of master has a definite challenging arrogance to it.
Is there PUA in here? Definitely. If you recognize the qualities of an AFC and take efforts to unlearn AFC behaviour and apply teachings to the field then in my opinion you are a PUA.
