so on Facebook these days or anything with profiles i guess, i know it is socially acceptable for HBs to put their main picture as something suductive, or a pose, or an activity and its accepted bc they are chicks or whatever. i was wondering if it is socially acceptable for guys to put a profile picture up of an activity or something cool. Example: i'm a wrestler and have some sick pictures of me beating up other guys on the mat. if i were to put ths up on my profile main picture, does it come off as needy? would it seem like i am trying to draw too much attention towards myself? what do you guys think? i do not care about what other people think of me but i DO care if i come across as needy, only acception.
open for opinions.. -Rye

I think it's a great idea..

You seem to be suggesting you have something to fear from being who you are?

To a woman that's needy or unworthy of respect in my opinion.

But instead of something depicting violence, or as you say "beating up other guys on the mat", which can be a double edged sword with women, why not take a picture of yourself in a flattering pose or a picture from your wrestling days.

I mean women are really turned on by guys that look like they can protect them from danger. But like you said you can carry it too far as well by overstating this fact.

great point. i am uploading this great picture. yo are absolutely right, it is who i am. i was an accomplished wrestler in HS, but ws too self conscious to show it off. it is who i am, therefore i should not feel insecure about flaunting it. if i wasn't all that good and only wrestled a short amount of time this would be unacceptable, but this is not the case. I have been needy all along BECAUSE i have not flaunted it. i didnt do it for the reason of looking needy, but in reality i did the reverse. i had something i did not use, so it looked like i was trying to be needy even tho my intentions were the opposite of that. u've been a major help in making me realize this. thank you. -Rye

Being comfortable with, and proud of who you are isn't flaunting it.

Unless the observer isn't comfortable with and proud of who they are.

Avoid such people like the plague. They'll make you miserable.
