Alright, so I asked this girl out to homecoming, and we're going just as friends, but only because she doesn't know me that well yet. She insists on paying for her ticket and her meal (as does her friend), so I was planning on using the 5 questions game to get around this. I would make a bet with her and, if i win, i pay and if she wins, she pays. I think that by paying for the meal would set things away from the "lets just be friends" mode. Is this a good idea or should i give up on ever pursuing being more than friends? Are their any other methods from which i should approach this situation because i actually like her. She apparently just got out of a serious relationship as well. Help?

I just don't see how trying to pay for her meal and ticket shows DHV on your part. In fact you should throw negs out to her during dinner and lean back letting her know that instead of wasting that money on her, you were able to buy "this kickass" watch/ring or some type of flare you're wearing...And even flash it to her.

During the actual dance organize a set of both your friends and hers and then stack your material there, once she notices that you're the centerpiece, you could very well receive IOI's.

Anyone else have thoughts

Whether you pay or not doesn't matter, it's in the manner of how you do it. never make cash an object of attraction: it is after all just paper.

Thanks guys, sounds good. Her parents are like super protective and stuff and apparently her mom thinks buying dinner means a guy expects sex, so thats more backround on that.

k, don't pay, it's as simple as that. as mystery says for drinks, tell the girl "you pay for the first round and I'll pay for the second," and this will work. paying without being in the comfort zone, where the game is played, is a DLV. 5 questions is definantly a good idea, also just switch around what Calvin Davids said, She Pays for dinner, you pay for IHOP afterwords, (IHOP is usually a good place to hang out after school events) as for the friend, disarm her, she doesn't deserve anything from you. hold your ground man, YOU ARE RUNNING THE GAME, besides, if you pay, they win, you lose.
