HB usually theyll say there bored or nothing really going on either/

and the conversation just just dies off.

Just start with an opener not 'Hi how are you?' its total AFC!

Neg the crap outa her for the shitty second attempt. then say somthing like "Normally i'd walk away but your lucky ive got a question to ask...[opener]"

this, as an opener is not total AFC - if you neve approached.... then its AFC. Its not the opener, its the follow up after that first line which is most important.
